Libby Lies: "
I am fan girl of food, coffee, books, dogs, and travel. Over the past four years, my passport has been stamped
over 50 times, and I've loved every adventure I've experienced. I am new to Kennedy this year, and have
spent the last part of my career teaching a diverse group of students at an American high school in Saudi
Arabia. I am passionate about teaching students about different cultures and ways of life around the world,
and I am fueled by their passion and excitement. I'm beyond happy to come back home to Colorado to
experience the genuine, friendly people, the Rocky Mountains, and Hatch green chili.
Lauren Marston: Ms. Marston started her career at JFK as an intervention teacher, but we have quickly realized that she has a talent for teaching more traditional classes. Now, in addition to teaching
American Literature Lab, Ms. Marston leads Freshmen (MYP ILC) and Juniors (World Literature) towards
success. She always has her students' best interests in mind and works hard to make sure they all stay on track.
Sheila Ortega: Mrs. Ortega has been a guest teacher at JFK for the last couple of years, but this year, we made it official: Mrs. Ortega has joined as a full-time English teacher. In her classroom, she
welcomes MYP ILC Honor students, World Literature juniors, and Freshmen Lab. She is a fantastic addition to
our department, collaborating with the entire department and teaching us all to stay cool under pressure.
